I received the sad news, that our honorary president Jos Jossart (Belgium), passed away yesterday in the age of 82 years. Jos Jossart was since 41 years involved with Intersteno, a lot of years as active representative for Belgium in the Central Committee and from 1979 till 1989 as Jurypresident for the Worldchampionships in typewriting. In 1971 he was very much involved in the organisation of the Intersteno Congress in Brussels. In 1991 a second Intersteno Congress was held in Brussels, under his presidence. In 1986 he organized the Central Committee in Brugge and in 1997 he helped with the organization of the Central Committee in Liège.

In Belgium/Flanders he founded the Akademie voor Bureauwetenschappen, more than 30 years ago, organisation of which he was honorary president at the moment.

For me, Jos was my big 'Master' but especially a good friend. I and we will miss his sense of humor, his broad interest and knowledge and his lovely words.

The funeral takes place un Thursday 29^th July at 11.00 h in Tienen.

I will, on behalf of our Federation, offer our condolence to the Family Jossart. Unfortunately, I cannot be at the funeral as I cannot change my holiday-plans anymore.

Je viens de recevoir la triste nouvelle, que notre president d'honneur Jos Jossart (Belgium) est décédé hier. Il avait 82 ans. Jos Jossart était depuis 41 ans actif dans l'Intersteno, beaucoup d'années comme représentant de la Belgique dans le Comité Central et de 1979 à 1989 comme president du Jury des Championnats mondiaux de dactylographie. En 1971 il a fait beaucoup d'efforts pour l'organisation du Congrès Intersteno à Bruxelles. En 1991 le Congrès Intersteno était de nouveau à Bruxelles, sous son présidence. En 1986 il a organisé le Comité Central à Bruges et en 1997 il participait aussi à l'organisation du Comité Central à Liège.

En Belgique/Flandre, il a fondé le Akademie voor Bureauwetenschappen, il y a plus de 30 ans et comme president d'honneur il restait toujours très intéressé, malgré ses problèmes de santé.

Nous perdons avec lui un grand Monsieur mais surtout un ami très jovial et sympathique.

L'enterrement aura lieu jeudi le 29 juillet à 11.00 h à Tienen (Belgique).

Je vais présenter, au nom de notre fédération, nos condoleances, à la famille Jossart. A cause d'un voyage que je ne peux plus changer, je regrette de ne pas être present à l'enterrement. De toute façon, notre représentant belge, Georgette Sante, sera là.

	Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollege Dear Colleagues Cher(e)s collègues Leider habe ich die traurige Nachricht, dass im Alter von 82 Jahr gestern morgen 24. Juli unser Ehrenpräsident Jos Jossart (Belgien) verstorben ist. Jos Jossart war seit 41 Jahr mit Intersteno verbunden, viele Jahre als aktives Mitglied des Zentralkomitees und von 1979 bis 1989 als Jurypräsident für die Weltmeisterschaften in Maschinenschreiben. In 1971 war er sehr aktiv bei der Organisation des Intersteno-Kongresses in Brüssel beschäftigt. In 1991 war der Präsident und Organisator des Intersteno-Kongresses in Brüssel. In 1986 organisierte er das Zentralkomitee in Brügge und in 1997 war er auch bei der Organisation des Zentralkomitees in Liège aktiv. In Belgien/Flandern hat er die Akademie voor Bureauwetenschappen gegründet und mehr als 30 Jahren sehr begeistert geleitet. Als Ehrenpräsident war er auch jetzt noch, so weit wie möglich, mit seinem Geisteskindes beschäftigt. Für mich war Jos meinem großen Lehrmeister und vor allem einen guten Freund. Ich und wir werden Allen sein Humor, seine breite Interesse und Kenntnisse und seine liebe Wörter sehr vermissen. Die Beerdigung findet am Donnerstag 29. Juli um 11.00 Uhr in Tienen statt. Ich werde, in Namen unserer Föderation, die Familie Jossart unser Beileid übermitteln. Leider kann ich selber nicht bei der Beerdigung sein, weil ich eine Reise nicht mehr umbuchen kann. Bis 10.
